These are the overall results from the online questionnaire/survey about tattoos in society. I wanted to get the biggest range of answers and opinions as possible so i got friends, family, friends of friends and friends of family to complete it. by doing this it allowed me to gain opinions of young people, older people and people of different class's and backgrounds. this was important as i didn't want my results to have any bias.  from these results it shows there is still a negative stigma still present in society about tattoos and many people get discriminated and judged for expressing themselves. 

After creating the online questionnaire about tattoos in society and having seem some of the results (i have kept it up at the moment as more and more people are doing it) i thought it would be beneficial to make a questionnaire for tattooed people and how they themselves feel. below i the questionnaire i sent out to some tattooed people.  Questions for those with tattoos. 1. DO YOU STILL NEED TO HIDE TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS FOR INTERVIEWS? Ten years ago this definitely seemed to be the case with keen job seekers desperately removing piercings and covering up tattoos prior to an important interview. But today, in the world of work in 2017, is this still the case?  Surely we understand that judging potential candidates based on their appearance before their skills and attributes is the most primary example of ‘judging a book by it’s cover.’ In an age in which acceptance is key, why are we still suggesting that having a piercing/tattoo ‘gives the wrong impression?’ This is surely the exact kind of rhetoric we need to  avoid  in 2017.
